Pingvin Rugby Club is based in Trelleborg in the south of Sweden and close to Copenhagen , Denmark. Pingvin RC has youth teams ranging from seven to nineteen years old, two senior teams, a ladies team and an old boys team. Apart from several years as Swedish champions in the 90s, the club has also put its name on the rugby map as host of a large International Youth Tournament (Trelleborg Rugby Festival) that is held annually every August – details on our web site. In the earlier years it was common for our teams to attend Easter Tournaments in other countries, then in 1991 we started our own tournament. The name today is Easter Games, but it has always been a popular attraction regardless of the name. We also devised our own game - Viking Rugby – only for the brave.

Previously, various mens, ladies and old boys teams from Britain, Germany, Poland, Holland, The Baltic States, Denmark, Norway and Sweden have participated over the years and it has been a great success.
Pingvin RC helps or advises in arranging accommodation for all visiting teams during tournament or friendlies. We have several discounts and good contacts for hostels, hotels and cabins. It’s easier than you think. With it’s 25 minute proximity to both Sturup Airport east of Malmö and the big international hub Kastrup in Copenhagen, there are plenty of low fare airlines to choose from.
AerLingus, EasyJet, Ryanair, Norwegian, AirBerlin, Cimber Air, Bmibaby, Wizzair and Transavia are but a few examples of low cost airlines. Besides these, the larger airlines, such as SAS, Lufthansa and KLM have several good deals if booked good time in advance.
Also, ferries operated by TT-Line and Scandlines link German ports such as Sassnitz, Rostock and Travemünde directly to Trelleborg.

And ….. for all our oversees guests – the price for pint of beer is 35 SEK, roughly 3,60 € (€1=9 SEK ) .
Grilled food, fruit and sandwiches will be available for purchase daytime, as well as the usual rugby beverages.
Pingvin RC usually also helps arranging further games against other local teams, if visiting teams wish to extend their stay in Sweden .
